You know how Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series is going to be Ash Ketchum’s last hurrah as the anime’s main protagonist? Well, it seems that we’re going to get closer to Ash’s final adventure pretty soon. How soon, you might ask? Well, apparently, as soon as next month.
Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series ~ The Finale of Ash Ketchum?
Crunchyroll is announcing that a new batch of episodes of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series is incoming to Netflix. You know, because Netflix apparently holds the license to stream episodes of the Pokémon anime? Unfortunately, what Crunchyroll doesn’t specify is what’s exactly in this new batch of episodes. They don’t mention how many episodes this new batch will contain or their titles, so we don’t know how many more episodes we have left of it before we reach the end. All we have to extrapolate on is that Netflix is currently up to Ep. 12 “Battling in the Freezing Raid!”. Thus, this new batch of episodes has to take place after that. It’s a shame that it’s all we have to go on.
Fortunately, there are some details about this new batch that’s a lot more specific. According to Crunchyroll, this new batch of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series episodes will make their debut on February 24, 2023. That’s less than a month away as of this writing, so you won’t have long to wait. The only catch here is that the new batch of episodes, just like all previous episodes of Pokémon, are premiering exclusively on Netflix. That means if you want to see Ash’s final journey, you’ll need to pay up for a Netflix account. My advice if you’re strapped for cash is to watch for Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series to finish airing, and then pay for a single month of Netflix to binge-watch the whole anime all in one go. That way, you get the most bang for your buck.
