Hulu has dropped Justin Roiland from Solar Opposites and Koala Man due to domestic violence charges. This comes in the wake of Adult Swim cutting ties with him on Rick and Morty, yesterday. Here’s what they had to say in a statement.

We have ended our association with Justin Roiland.

Both Solar Opposites and Koala Man will continue without Roiland’s involvement.

He was charged with felony counts of domestic battery with corporal injury and false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud, and/or deceit. The incident occurred on or around January 19th, 2020, against an unnamed Jane Doe who was dating Roiland at the time. Roiland pleaded not guilty in 2020 and recently appeared in court for a pre-trial hearing. A trial date has not been set yet.

Roiland co-created Solar Opposites with Mike McMahan in 2020. He voiced the main character Korvo. There’s no word on if the character will be recast or written out of the upcoming seasons. it’s been renewed for a season 5 on Hulu. He executive produced Koala Man and was a guest voice actor on occasion during the first season.

The video game studio Roiland co-founded, Squanch Games, also cut ties with him.
