Apple TV+ revealed its spring kids and family programming today, and a few of your favorite amphibian pals are getting their own series. An animated Frog and Toad series will officially premiere on the platform in April.
Frog and Toad is based on the famous, widely-loved children’s books by Arnold Lobel. Here’s the official description of the upcoming TV series from Apple TV+:
Frog and Toad are best friends who know that the true secret to friendship is not only enjoying the things you have in common, but embracing the things that make you different. Our differences are what makes us special, and Frog and Toad celebrate them in what makes them unique.
The voice cast for the show includes Nat Faxon, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ron Funches, Fortune Feimster, Cole Escola, Aparna Nancherla, Yvette Nicole Brown, Margaret Cho, and more. The series comes from showrunner Rob Hoegee.
AppleTV+ will tap into a few more familiar IPs for their upcoming spring family slate. Another new animated series, Eva the Owlet, adapts popular books – in this case, Rebecca Elliott’s Owl Diaries. The platform will also launch season 2 of its Harriet the Spy series.
Plus, look out for several Peanuts Classics specials making their way over to Apple TV+ in the coming months.
