Adult Swim has ended its relationship with Justin Roiland after news broke that he was charged with felony domestic abuse last week. Here’s the statement from the company.

Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland. Rick and Morty will continue. The talented and dedicated crew are hard at work on Season 7.

Adult Swim distributes Rick and Morty, the massive adult animated comedy that Roiland co-created with Dan Harmon. The issue here stems from the fact that Roiland also voices both main characters of the show. The network commissioned 70-episodes back in 2018 and they aren’t even halfway through that.

Sources say that both roles will be re-cast and that co-creator Dan Harmon will be the sole creator now. The series is locked in through season 10.
