Big changes are happening at The CW. Can Gotham Knights usher in a new era?
A number of huge CW programs will air their final seasons this year, including Riverdale and The Flash. But among the many cancellations the network announced last spring came plans for three new series. Two of these were spinoffs of existing programs, and began airing near the end of 2022 (The Winchesters and Walker: Independence). The third series, Gotham Knights, arrives soon.
The DC TV series picks up in the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder, with his adopted son Turner Hayes (Oscar Morgan) forging an alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies — Duela (Olivia Rose Keegan), Harper Row (Fallon Smythe), and her brother Cullen Row (Tyler DiChiara) — when they are framed for killing the Caped Crusader. The fugitives eventually become Gotham City’s next generation of saviors. Harvey Dent (Mischa Collins) also appears in the series to investigate Wayne’s murder.

Greg Berlanti executive produces the series, along with Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, and David Madden. It comes from writers Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux and director Danny Cannon.
(Note that this Gotham Knights series isn’t associated with the recent video game of the same name. Both follow the same basic premise – teens rising up to protect Gotham after Batman’s death – but follow different characters.)
Gotham Knights will officially premiere on the CW March 14, after the season 3 premiere of Superman & Lois. These two shows, along with the final season of The Flash, make up the entirety of the DCTV slate on the CW this year. Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, Naomi, and Stargirl all received the axe last season.
