You can squeeze in one last big adventure before the end of the year. Disney’s animated feature Strange World will officially begin streaming on Disney+ December 23.

Strange World introduces a legendary family of explorers, the Clades. The story follows their attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog, and a slew of ravenous creatures. It’s a fun family adventure with a bit of sci-fi, kind of like Indiana Jones meets Osmosis Jones.

You can also check out a new special look at the film below.

The animated feature’s voice cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal as Searcher Clade, a family man who finds himself out of his element on an unpredictable mission; Dennis Quaid as Searcher’s larger-than-life explorer father, Jaeger; Jaboukie Young-White as Searcher’s 16-year-old adventure-seeking son, Ethan; Gabrielle Union as Meridian Clade, an accomplished pilot and Searcher’s partner in all things; and Lucy Liu as Callisto Mal, Avalonia’s fearless leader who spearheads the exploration into the strange world.

Strange World comes from co-directors Don Hall and Qui Nguyen (Raya and the Last Dragon). It’s also currently playing in theaters if you want to catch the movie on the big screen ahead of its streaming debut.

Strange World premieres December 23 on Disney+. Meanwhile, check back to THS for more Disney updates.
