Upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte just added a new cast member: Margarita Levieva.
The Acolyte is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront prove more sinister than they ever anticipated.
We know Levieva will appear in the series; however, we don’t have any details about her specific character at this time.
She joins previously announced cast members including Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Jodie Turner-Smith, Dafne Keen, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, Dean-Charles Chapman, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
Levieva is known for starring in three seasons of the critically acclaimed HBO series The Deuce. She most recently appeared in the Netflix series In From The Cold, opposite David Tennant and Mark Bonnar. Levieva also appeared in Revenge, Allegiance, The Blacklist, Adventureland, and The Lincoln Lawyer.
The Acolyte, which comes from creator, showrunner, and EP Leslye Headland, is currently shooting in the UK. It will join the ever-growing lineup of Star Wars shows on Disney+, which now includes titles like The Mandalorian, Kenobi, and Andor.
The Acolyte does not have a Disney+ premiere date yet.
