Season 4 of The Boys will see the return of a familiar face, plus three new stars. First, Simon Pegg returns for the upcoming season. Pegg will reprise his role as Hughie’s (Jack Quaid) father. And the season looks to be a family affair, as Rosemarie DeWitt is set to join the series as Hughie’s mother.

Amazon Prime Video also revealed two new additional cast members set to join season 4: Rob Benedict and Elliot Knight. However, their specific characters and role on the series haven’t been revealed yet.

DeWitt, Benedict, and Knight join previously confirmed new cast members including Susan Heyward (Sister Sage), Valorie Curry (Firecracker), Cameron Crovetti, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The Boys adapts the bestselling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The Prime Video series comes from showrunner, writer, and executive producer Eric Kripke (Supernatural). The show takes an irreverent approach to the superhero genre, showing what happens when the ultra-powerful abuse their powers instead of use them for good. A group of vigilantes, known as The Boys, attempt to expose the misdeeds of The Seven and the Vought corporation.

The first three seasons of The Boys are available to stream on Prime Video now. Season 4 is currently in production. We don’t have a release date yet, but check back to THS for more updates.

So, what do you think will happen with Pegg and DeWitt cropping up as Hughie’s parents? What roles do you think Benedict and Knight might have in the series? Let us know in the comments below.
