From an endlessly optimistic Elf to one of the Spirits of Christmas… here comes Will Ferrell in a new holiday comedy, Spirited.

Ferrell plays opposite Ryan Reynolds in the Apple TV+ film. It’s basically a musical comedy take on Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol. Check out the latest trailer below.

Here’s the official synopsis of Spirited from Apple TV+:

Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Will Ferrell) selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs (Ryan Reynolds) turns the tables on his ghostly host until Present finds himself reexamining his own past, present and future. For the first time, A Christmas Carol is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale.

In addition to Reynolds and Ferrell, the film also stars Oscar winner Octavia Spencer.

Sean Anders (Instant Family) directs the feature, which he co-wrote with John Morris. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land) penned the film’s original songs. Chloe Arnold (The Late Late Show with James Corden) served as choreographer.

Spirited will premiere in theaters November 11, and on Apple TV+ November 18.
