The cast of His Dark Materials made their way to London for MCM Comic Con to meet the fans.
The BBC/HBO show is an adaption of the bestselling fantasy book series by Philip Pullman.
His Dark Materials
In His Dark Materials we follow Lyra, an orphan who lives in a parallel universe in which science, theology, and magic are entwined. Lyra’s search for a kidnapped friend uncovers a sinister plot involving stolen children, and turns into a quest to understand a mysterious phenomenon called Dust.
The show premiered in 2019 and jointly airs on the BBC in the UK and HBO in the US. Jack Thorne wrote and adapted the series with Bad Wolf and New Line Cinema producing the project.

Questions and Clips
Then we moved to our first look at season 3 via brand new never before seen clips. As a fan of the books the first clip immediately called up my memory of a major moment between Lyra and Pan.
Discussions included the challenges of adapting the novels to the screen. We even learned during the panel that Philip Pullman apologized to the creators for the difficulty involved in adapting aspects of the story. During the panel there were a number of clips from the upcoming season focusing on different characters.
It was easy to see the chemistry among the cast particularly Dafne Keen and Amir Wilson. The two play Lyra Belacqua and Will Parry respectively. The two talk about the changing relationship between Lyra and Will and their very different experiences of family over the course of their adventures.
