The Evil Dead comes back to theaters for the first time since Fede Alvarez‘s bloody-awesome “remake” from 2013. The brand new movie Evil Dead Rise comes from director Lee Cronin and heads to the big screen on April 21st, 2023. Because it is Halloween, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros felt the need to reward everyone with the first image from the film. Check out the full image below!

Here’s the official plot synopsis for Evil Dead Rise.

In the fifth Evil Dead film, a road-weary Beth pays an overdue visit to her older sister Ellie, who is raising three kids on her own in a cramped L.A apartment. The sisters’ reunion is cut short by the discovery of a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building, giving rise to flesh-possessing demons, and thrusting Beth into a primal battle for survival as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.

It stars Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, and Nell Fisher alongside Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan.

If you’re wondering about Bruce Campbell, Robert Tapert, or Sam Raimi, they’re all on board as producers and have been “very involved” at every step of the way.

Ash Williams will not be making an appearance in the film though, this is a brand-new story with new characters.
