Those that watch Warner Bros. and DC animated films know they are usually pretty damn good. So after films like Green Lantern: Beware My Power and Batman: The Long Halloween some may start to wonder how can it get much better. Well, you do not have to wonder any longer. Warner Bros and DC this week released their next animated film, Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons. Starring Jack Dylan Glazer, Jack Griffo, Troy Baker, Travis Willingham, and Laura Bailey; Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons is available now on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray, and Digital. Home Entertainment, the PG-13 rated Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons begins as 11-year-old Jonathan Kent discovers he has superpowers, thrusting the half-Kryptonian into the complicated world of Super Heroes and Super-Villains – who are now under attack by a malevolent alien force known as Starro! It’s a race against time as Jonathan must join forces with assassin-turned-Boy-Wonder Damian Wayne to rescue their fathers (Superman & Batman) and save the planet by becoming the Super Sons they were destined to be!

Batman And Superman: Battle Of The Super Sons – The Review

OK, I’m going to try to keep this review simple and spoiler free. There is no need to tell you all that this film is about because it is right above in the synopsis. But what I do want to talk about is just how amazing this film was. This film was a hit! From old DC fans to new fans starting out this is a must-see. Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons has a run time of 80 minutes and what an 80 minutes it was. Matt Peters (Director), Jeremy Adams (Writer), and Rick Morales (Supervising Producer) were able to pack so much into the story without missing a beat. In some films there is so much going on you lose focus, but this team gave us a lot and was able to keep things on track. From family relationships to action, this film has it all.

Now let’s talk about animation. To me, this was one of the best-looking DC animated films. The CGI animation is on point and the creative team used this technology to make this story even better. How you might ask? Well for one the animation flowed smoothly. From the backgrounds to the action-packed fights you could feel the details reaching out to you.

OK now for the cast. I don’t think you could have picked a better cast for this film. Jack Dylan Grazer (Jonathan Kent), Jack Griffo (Damian Wayne), Travis Willingham (Superman), Troy Baker (Batman), and Laura Bailey (Lois Lane) were perfect. Each took their characters to a new level. These voice actors were able to make you feed off the emotions and energy of their characters. I am really looking forward to more of these actors in the future.

My Final Thoughts

Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons is an amazing film from Warner Bros. and DC. With the perfect cast, an amazing storyline, mindblowing CGI, great cameos, and kick-ass action scenes there I have no complaints at all about Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons. This film is perfect for both new and old fans. Do yourself a favor and go watch Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons now!
