What happens when you turn John McClane into Santa Claus? You get Violent Night. The new film stars David Harbour as Santa Claus. When a team of mercenaries break into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus. He’s on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.

It also stars John Leguizamo, Cam Gigandet, Alex Hassell, Alexis Louder, Edi Patterson, and Beverly D’Angelo. It’s directed by Tommy Wirkola with a screenplay from Pat Casey & Josh Miller. Check out the trailer below.

This looks like a hell of a holiday classic in the making. It’s about time someone mixed the action stylings of John Wick with Santa Claus. Adding David Harbour on top of it all is magnificent. We’ll have to see how Santa Claus gets out of this one when it releases in theaters on December 2nd, 2022.
