It’s been a long time coming for Community fans, but as of today, we’re getting the movie that we’ve all wanted so badly. The movie comes from original creator Dan Harmon and brings back six of the original cast members: Joel McHale, Alison Brie, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong. In addition, Peacock will get the entire full series library. Conspicuously absent are Donald Glover, Chevy Chase, and Yvette Nicole Brown. It’s not known at this time whether any of those three will be involved with the new movie.

Susan Rovner, Chairman, Entertainment Content NBCUniversal Television and Streaming had this to say about the new movie.

Six seasons and a movie’ started out as a cheeky line from Community’s early seasons and quickly ignited a passionate fan movement for this iconic, hilarious and cool (cool, cool) NBC comedy,We’re incredibly grateful that 15 years later, we are able to deliver fans this promised movie and can’t wait to get to work with Dan Harmon, Andrew Guest, Joel McHale, Sony and our partners at UTV to continue this epic comedy for Peacock audiences.

Community aired for 110 episodes on NBC as part of Must See TV alongside The Office, Parks and Recreation, and 30 Rock. Community should release sometime in 2023 on Peacock.
