Update: Other outlets like Variety have confirmed the news that Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. The film is slated for release on September 6th, 2024.
It sure seems like Ryan Reynolds has given us quite the treat today. In a new video posted to his Twitter, he apologized to fans for missing D23 Expo and that he had… nothing for Deadpool 3. However, at the end of the video, what looks like Hugh Jackman, walks by and Ryan asks him if he wants to play Wolverine one more time. Then the video cuts to a Deadpool logo, where three very Wolverine-looking claws slash the logo. Then the date, 9.6.24 shows on-screen. Now, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have messed with us before, but it has the Marvel Studios logo, and everything. So this could be a confirmation, but we’ll have to wait and see from Marvel Studios on this one.
