Halloween Ends is almost here. The conclusion to the Laurie Strode-Michael Myers saga has been building for 40 years and now we’ve finally got a finish. The final trailer for Halloween Ends gives us the best look at the story and most of the characters that are new and returning. This is easily the most frightening trailer of them all. I can’t remember the last time a trailer made me jump, but Michael grabbing the guy in the tunnel really got me.
Now, it’s not without some questions, but that just means it did its job as a trailer. You’re heading into Halloween Ends wondering a couple of things: how did Michael survive, why is Michael back, and how is Laurie going to stop him? Those questions should hopefully be answered on October 14th when Halloween Ends releases in theaters and on Peacock. For those that need a refresher on the plot, here’s one.
Four years after the events of Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson and is writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. But when a young man, Corey Cunningham, is accused of killing a boy her was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control, once and for all.
Halloween Ends stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Rohan Campbell, Kyle Richards, and James Jude Courtney. It’s directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by Paul Brad Logan, Chris Bernier, Danny McBride, and David Gordon Green.
