It hasn’t been very good news lately for Warner Bros. However, there is some good news finally for the studio. According to Deadline, they’re doing a sequel to 2005’s Constantine with Keanu Reeves and original director Francis Lawrence. In addition, Akiva Goldsman will write the screenplay and J.J. Abrams will produce the project. The original film has become a cult favorite since it’s release 17 years ago, with some lauding the film as one of the best depictions of John Constantine on film. It grossed over $200M worldwide and fans have clamored for more since then. There’s no word on what the sequel will cover, but the original featured John Constantine trying to keep demons from breaching Earth.
