Back in 2018, Delia Owens publish a mystery thriller novel called, Where the Crawdads Sing. Now, in 2022 it’s a hit film from Reese Witherspoon’s production company.
Adapted by Lucy Alibar (Beasts of the Southern Wild) and Directed by Olivia Newman, the film stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (Fresh), Taylor John Smith (Sharp Objects), and Harris Dickenson (The King’s Man).
The film tells the story of a young girl, Kya (Daisy Edgar-Jones) who is abandoned by everyone in her family. Over the years, and with the help of a few friendly locals, she learns to live in the marsh on her own. One of these people is Tate (Taylor John Smith) who has always been kind to her. Eventually the two fall in love, but not without their obstacles.
