Who’s ready for another Indy adventure? The audiences at the D23 Expo Lucasfilm panel got a treat when Harrison Ford himself showed up to preview Indiana Jones 5! Ford was joined by co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
The leads, along with director and co-writer James Mangold, premiered the first teaser for the upcoming film for the D23 Expo audience. Unfortunately for everyone not in attendance, the teaser dropped as an Expo-exclusive clip. So, the rest of us will have to wait a little longer to see Ford back in action as Indiana Jones. Reportedly, the footage included a showdown atop a high-speed train, a chase through a crowded parade, and Indy using his signature whip.
This film marks the fifth Indiana Jones feature adventure. It will see Ford reprise his role as the title character. Additional stars joining the film include Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Toby Jones, and Antonio Banderas.
This movie will be the first in the franchise not to come from a story by George Lucas, and the first not to be directed by Steven Spielberg. Spielberg serves as a producer, while James Mangold directs. Mangold co-wrote the script with Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth.
