The leader of the House of Black in AEW is apparently no longer with the company. Fightful Select is reporting that the belief among talent and others in the company, is that Black is gone. AEW hasn’t officially confirmed any sort of release, but we might get more clarity following tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

There were rumors that Black was unhappy with his position in the company and how his character was being booked. After his match on Sunday at All Out, Black waved goodbye to the crowd and hugged the other members of the House of Black. We’ll have to see just what all this means and what it means for the other members of the House of Black. Malakai joined AEW a year ago after he was released from his WWE contract due to budget cuts. A conditional release in the wrestling world usually means a non-compete clause, so AEW is probably preventing him from immediately going to WWE.

It seemed like Black and his faction was doing good things in AEW from an in-ring standpoint, but there were massive expectations when he signed on with the company. After a couple of middling feuds and no real main-event run, this is the likely end for Malakai Black in AEW.

That’s not the only thing we’ll have to look forward to on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. There’s also the fallout from the All Out press conference and the issues between AEW Champion CM Punk and The Elite.

We’ll have to see when Dynamite airs tonight at 4:00 PT/7:00 ET.
