Perhaps you’ve heard Elden Ring is a pretty popular video game now? Perhaps you might want more of the story? Well, as it turns out, the video game is now a manga. A somewhat oddball manga, but a manga nonetheless.

Elden Ring: The Road to the Eldtree ~ Details

"Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree" pages 2-3.
I know this looks like a serious dark fantasy manga, but well, you’ll see.

Comic Walker recently unveiled an official manga adaptation of Elden Ring by FromSoftware. This manga has the title Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree and is by the new mangaka Nikiichi Tobita. In fact, the mangaka is so new that their only other manga is the little-known A Cursed Sword’s Daily Life. On top of that, this manga is…not exactly what the average player of that game would expect. To put it bluntly: this manga is a dark comedy fantasy gag manga. Yes, you read that right. This manga is all about the laughs, with the characters so far behaving in rather ridiculous ways. The main character is, so far, the most ridiculous character in the manga. Seriously, just read the official synopsis of the manga from Comic Walker below:

“Aseo, a poor, Tarnished wretch, finds himself cast out into Limgrave—naked, penniless, hopeless, and maidenless. His only hope in his harsh, unforgiving new home is a mysterious woman named Melina. She urges him to follow the guidance of grace to the Erdtree that looms over the Lands Between. But it won’t be an easy road; a cast of colorful characters awaits Aseo along the way—Patches the Untethered, Blaidd the Half-Wolf, Margit the Fell Omen, Godrick the Grafted, and of course, Ranni the Witch…With little but a loincloth between Aseo and certain death, he strikes out for the first stop on his quest: Stormveil Castle. Will he make it there, or will his journey end before it even begins?

ELDEN RING—the smash-hit action-RPG with over 16.6 million copies sold worldwide—hits the page in this side-splitting manga adaptation by Nikiichi Tobita, the creator of A Cursed Sword’s Daily Life!”

If you want to read the ridiculousness that is Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree for yourself, then you can do that on Comic Walker. It’s entirely free and has an English translation for it. Ch. 3 will even upload on September 19, 2022; so you won’t have long to wait to find out what happens next.
