Has the three-year break from the Game of Thrones universe made fans eager for more content? Or has this (dragon) fire gone out? We’ll find out soon when House of the Dragon premieres Sunday.
The first of several planned Thrones spinoff series premieres August 21. To celebrate, HBO dropped a new promo to entice you with some political intrigue… And dragons, of course. Check it out below.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon explores a pivotal time for House Targaryen, 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
The series stars Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans, among others.
Season 1 of House of the Dragon will include ten episodes, kicking off with the premiere on Sunday, August 21 at 9pm on HBO. New episodes will debut at the same time each week, until the finale on October 23. You can also stream the episodes on HBO Max.
Meanwhile, for even more content in the GOT universe, you can check out the official House of the Dragon podcast. It features interviews with cast, crew, and celebrity fans to dive deep into the ins and outs of the show.
