Are you looking for new releases in Film or Television to watch this weekend of July 29th!? Well, THS has you covered in our weekly series! So, make sure to come back each week as we compile all of our recommendations for you to check out on your days off.
However, I wanted to break down this list and make it a little more personal. Kind of like when you walk into a book store and see the wall of employee recommendations. So, I’ll be breaking down this list as to what we at THS are watching, not necessarily every single thing releasing.
JESSICA’S WATCHING
I’m most excited for season 3 of Harley Quinn kicking off on HBO Max! So that’s #1 on the watch list. I will probably also give Paper Girls a try over on Prime Video. And I didn’t get around to The Gray Man last weekend because of Comic-Con, so I may squeeze that in this weekend.
RHETT’S WATCHING
I’m headed to theaters to watch DC League of Super-Pets, as well as Where the Crawdads Sing. Then I’m gonna head to Disney+ because I probably won’t be done with the Light & Magic documentary yet.
TRAVIS IS WATCHING
I’ll be continuing my recent focus on Hulu streaming with Only Murders in The Building and the latest episodes of The Old Man. I’m also looking forward to checking out The Gray Man over on Netflix.
MIKE’S WATCHING
Probably the Ana De Armas’ Marilyn Monroe trailer on repeat. Tbh. Haha. But for real that looks great. My embarrassing answer is finally catching up on The Boys on Prime Video.
SARAH’S WATCHING
I’m going to check out Paper Girls on Prime video. After speaking with the cast and creators at Comic Con I’m wildly intrigued. I’m 100% going to watch the new Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin on HBOMax. Then, I’m gonna head to the theaters to watch Vengeance! Finally, I’ll settle in with some streaming movies I’ve been looking forward to. First, Not Okay on Hulu. Then, Purple Hearts on Netflix – I love a sappy love story!
TOM’S WATCHING
Hanging out on Hulu watching season 2 of Only Murders In The Building and The Orville: New Horizons.
BRIAN’S WATCHING
I’ll be watching the “limited series” for S3 for Nickelodean’s 2-hour premiere reboot for Are You Afraid of the Dark? this Saturday.
BENJY’S WATCHING
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S on Crunchyroll. I’ve been a big fan of this fantasy yuri anime for quite some time, and I’ve been meaning to catch up with season 2.
JJ’S WATCHING
I’m checking out Operation: Mincemeat on Netflix
