It seems Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) is coming out of acting vacation for a new dramedy for Netflix\, Uncoupled.

From Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman comes a story of heartbreak, self-realization, and living life as a single gay man in his 40s. Neil Patrick Harris plays Michael Lawson, a man who seems to have it all figured out. He’s a super successful New York City real estate broker. Michael has great friends, a close family, and is in a loving relationship with his partner of 17 years, Colin. However, Colin (Tuc Watkins) shockingly moves out on the day of his 50th surprise birthday party leaving Michael blindsided.

So now, Michael has to figure out two things: why did he lose the man he thought was his soulmate? And, how does he deal with being a single gay man in his 40s…in New York City?!

Joining Neil Patrick Harris and Tuc Watkins on this journey as the guest cast are Emmy and Tony Award Winner André De Shields, Byron Jennings, Colin Hanlon, Dan Amboyer, Gilles Marini (Sex and the City), Jai Rodriguez (Queer Eye For The Straight Guy), Broadway actor Nic Rouleau, Peter Porte and Stephanie Faracy (The Great Outdoors)!

Uncoupled is also staring Tisha Campbell (Martin), Brooks Ashmanskas (Better Nate Than Ever), Emerson Brooks (Queens), and Marcia Gay Harden (The Morning Show).

Uncoupled is from Emmy Award-winning co-creators Darren Star and Jeffrey Richman. The series is a story about heartbreak, healing, and all the humor we find along the way.

Produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions, Jeffrey Richman Productions, and Jax Media.

Uncoupled comes to Netflix on July 29th, 2022
