Fighting the Devil isn’t just for the men anymore. Literally, because this new horror flick is about a nun who’s permitted to attend Exorcism School.
The woman in question, Sister Ann (Jacqueline Byers), naturally comes with her own complicated past when it comes to facing evil; she suspects her mother’s diagnosed mental illness was actually a case of demonic possession.
A possession that still haunts Sister Ann today.

“Once you know the Devil… the Devil knows you,” the trailer warns ominously.
Here’s the official synopsis of Prey for the Devil from Lionsgate:
In response to a global rise in demonic possessions, the Catholic Church reopens exorcism schools to train priests in the Rite of Exorcism. On this spiritual battlefield, an unlikely warrior rises: a young nun, Sister Ann (Jacqueline Byers). Although nuns are forbidden to perform exorcisms, a professor (Colin Salmon) recognizes Sister Ann’s gifts and agrees to train her. Thrust onto the spiritual frontline with fellow student Father Dante (Christian Navarro), Sister Ann finds herself in a battle for the soul of a young girl (who Sister Ann believes is possessed by the same demon that tormented her own mother years ago), and soon realizes the Devil has her right where he wants her….and it wants in.
In addition to Byers, the movie stars Colin Salmon, Christian Navarro, Lisa Palfrey, Nicholas Ralph, with Ben Cross, and Virginia Madsen. Daniel Stamm directs from a screenplay by Robert Zappia.
Prey for the Devil arrives just in time for Halloween. You can catch it in theaters October 28.
