After the wild success of season one of Peacock’s Dr. Death, it’s no surprise that we will have a season 2. The new season will continue to follow the Wondery podcast of the same name, but following a new doctor.

The first season of the series followed disgraced Texas Neurosurgeon, Dr. Christopher Duntsch (Joshua Jackson). Duntsch maimed and killed 38 patients over his career. The series was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for Best Limited Series and named one of the top shows of 2021 by Entertainment Weekly, and NPR.

So, what could they possibly have in store for us in season 2?

DR. DEATH SEASON 2

Season 2 of the hit series Dr. Death will follow Paolo Macchiarini, a Swiss-born Italian thoracic surgeon and former regenerative medicine researcher. Paolo is charming, and renowned for his innovative operations earning him the nickname, “Miracle Man”. However, when investigative journalist Benita Alexander comes to him for a story the line between personal and professional blur. This changes her life forever.

Learning how far Paolo will go to protect his secrets, a group of doctors across the world makes shocking discoveries of their own that call everything into question.

“The first season of Dr. Death blew us away as we dove into the terrifying, twisted mind of Dr. Christopher Duntsch and the team who set out to stop him. The new installment of this highly-addictive anthology series explores a globe-trotting surgeon who seduces the medical world, and we know we’re in expert hands with our partners at Wondery, UCP, Patrick Macmanus and new season EP/showrunner Ashley Michel Hoban.”
