Spy x Family is about to end for a while, right in the middle of its first season. Thus, it’s only natural that they would want to hype up that midseason finale with a preview. What’s a bit unnatural is the length of the preview. Or rather, the lack of it. Check it out below, and don’t worry, it won’t take long.
Everything About Ep. 12 in 9 Seconds
The official Twitter account of Spy x Family has recently released a preview for Ep. 12 “Penguin Park”, which will be the last episode of the anime we will see for a while due to that split course programming they insist for it. Thus, this episode is effectively a midseason finale for the anime. Hence this preview. As you can see above, the preview is only 9 seconds long and lacks vocals. However, said preview is packed full of content to compensate.
Loid starts us off by enthusiastically slamming a door open. We then get a split-second glimpse of Anya enjoying a very well-animated aquarium, with plenty of aquatic wildlife to satisfy both her and us. Next, Yor says something that makes Loid gape at her in shock. It may be related to Loid looking like he went through a 1000-mile marathon in the next scene. The next scene features an unknown man in glasses who looks a bit panicked. Scary Yor in the next scene might have something to do with that. The last scenes all feature Anya, with one scene, in particular, standing out. Anya in this scene is playing with Chimera-san and a large penguin plush she didn’t have before. Fans of the manga will recognize that plush penguin, and all the hijinks that went on to get him.
Spy x Family Ep. 12 “Penguin Park” will premiere this Saturday on June 25, 2022. You can watch it only on Crunchyroll. Unfortunately, there’s a paywall you need to get past to watch it. You’re going to need to shell out money for a premium account to do that.
