One Con and one ring to rule them all. Amazon’s highly anticipated Lord of the Rings series The Rings of Power is headed to San Diego Comic Con.
Fans will get a first look at the Second Age of Middle Earth when the series takes the stage at Hall H next month. The panel will include showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, as well as stars from the upcoming series.
Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is set in the Second Age of Middle-earth — thousands of years before the events of the Lord of the Rings films and J.R.R. Tolkien’s novels. The series brings to screens for the very first time J.R.R. Tolkien’s fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth.
The show’s ensemble cast includes Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.
Prime Video previously released a first look at the series, which you can check out here.
This year’s San Diego Comic Con runs July 21 – 24.
Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere September 2, exclusively on Prime Video.
