In some exciting news, HBOMax has announced that they have renewed Starstruck for a season 3!

Starstruck is created by comedian and writer Rose Matafeo, and co-producer BBC Three. The series tells the story of a girl named Jessie (Matafeo) who, just like the rest of us, is still figuring out life. She ends up having a drunken hookup with actor Tom Kapoor – who is basically the latest A-lister! Throughout the series, we see the two go back and forth figuring out if they are more than friends.

What will happen in Starstruck Season 3?

Season 2 of Starstruck picks up right where we left off in season 1 when Tom (Nikesh Patel) and Jessie (Rose Matafeo) are on the bus, and Jessie not getting off at her stop. During the 6 fantastic episodes, Jessie goes on an excruciating journey of self-love and self-acceptance while Tom is all in. It’s hard to see someone who doesn’t believe they deserve something good in their life. However, by the end with the help of her friends Jessie has an epiphany for the better.

By the end of season 2, Jessie and Tom profess their undying love for each other. I’m excited for a season 3 to see where these two end up after finally allowing themselves to show and accept how much they care.

A third? Sure. Fine. I’m truly thrilled to bring this incredibly talented cast back for a third installment and equally excited to clamber into the director’s seat alongside my nice friend Alice Snedden who I cannot seem to get rid of.
