Daniel Craig’s Foghorn Leghorn accent is no longer the strangest thing about the Knives Out franchise. Netflix just revealed an intriguing – and bizarre – title for the upcoming sequel film.
When Detective Benoit Blanc returns, it will be in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.
Whatever you expected from the sequel, I’m guessing Glass Onion didn’t make the list. I for one can’t wait to find out what this baffling title means.
Details about the next Knives Out film are being kept under wraps. With the exception of casting announcement after casting announcement, we don’t know much about the movie or its murderous mystery. The official logline for the project simply tells us, “Detective Benoit Blanc travels to Greece to peel back the layers of a mystery involving a new cast of colorful suspects.”
In addition to Craig reprising his role as Detective Blanc, the film will star Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, and Madelyn Cline, with Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.
Along with the Glass Onion title reveal, Netflix also teased when fans can expect the film to begin streaming. Apparently, expect to investigate Glass Onion “this holiday season.” The streamer didn’t specify a date, but it looks like we’re targeting a November-December release at this time.
