Eleven & the Hawkins gang are gearing up for their biggest fight in the Upside Down yet. Netflix divided the fourth season of Stranger Things into two parts, and Vol. 2 arrives in just a few weeks.
Today’s Geeked Week event was a full-on Stranger Things fest. And while the cast and creators wouldn’t get too specific about what fans should expect from the second part of season 4, they did drop a bit of a preview. You can watch the teaser clip for Vol. 2 below.
At only 30 seconds long, the clip reveals only a little about the upcoming episodes. Naturally, it does include an ominous warning from this season’s villain, Vecna, who tells Eleven, “You can’t stop this now.”
The fourth season of one of Netflix’s most popular original programs debuted May 27. The episodes went bigger and scarier than the previous seasons – something the creators felt they could do now that the Hawkins kids had grown up a bit.
“The kids are now not kids anymore. They are in high school,” said co-creator Ross Duffer during Netflix’s Geeked Week event. “Suddenly that opened up a lot of doors for us. We can put them in danger that is really scary.”
So yes, those Nightmare on Elm Street parallels you spotted were intentional.
The fourth season of Stranger Things will conclude with two additional episodes, premiering July 1. You can stream seasons 1-3 and 4 Vol. 1 on Netflix now.
So, what did you think of this teaser clip? And how do you think the final episodes of the season will play out? Let us know in the comments below.
