Following closely on the heels of the Kenobi news, the panel went right into discussion of Andor. Show star Diego Luna and Star alumni Genevieve O’Reilly (Mom Motha) headline, together with showrunner Tony Gilroy and others. At Celebration they official confirm a twelve-episode first season. The show “rewinds five years” prior to the events of Rogue One. It will follow the rebel spy as he moves through the Galaxy’s underworld gather intel on the Empire. At Celebration, they also confirm the second season will span another twelve episodes…. And cover the remaining time right up to Rogue One. Andor arrives in late August with a two-episode premiere.

Thus far there’s been no Celebration discussion of the other, most anticipated, live-action offerings. Except… they did officially announce that both will arrive in 2023. Those are, of course, The Mandalorian Season 3, and Ahsoka. Mando returns February, 2023.  Fans continue to wait for “official” word on Ahsoka, but we anticipate confirmation of a live-action, Grand Admiral Thrawn. If rumors hold true, Well see Lars Mikkelsen reprise his voice role as the smartest Imperial villain in Star Wars lore.
