People whine and complain that movies are all the same and nothing is original anymore. Well, here’s Three Thousand Years Of Longing to change that. The new film from George Miller (Mad Max: Fury Road) asks the simple question “what would you wish for?”. It’s written by Miller and Augusta Gore and stars Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton. The film looks like an absolute feast for the eyes and a twist on the classic genie in a bottle tale.

Just based on the visuals alone, this one looks like it’s well worth a trip to the movies. When you add the two stars and Miller’s prowess to it, you might have one of the best films of the year. We’ll have to see when it releases in theaters in Summer 2022.
