There’s a new emperor of the universe in Dune: Part Two. Christopher Walken will play Emperor Shaddam IV in the sequel to Denis Villeneuve‘s sci-fi epic. Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Javier Bardem are all returning for the sequel. New additions include Florence Pugh and Austin Butler. The story of Dune: Part Two picks up where the first one left off. Paul and his mother are fighting alongside the Fremen to free Arrakis from House Harkonnen.
Walken’s character, Emperor Shaddam IV, sends the Atreides clan to their doom on Arrakis. He continues his reign of terror with Baron Harkonnen and has to contend with a rebellion. Pugh is playing Princess Irulan and Butler is playing Feyd-Rautha, the nephew of Baron Harkonnen.
Production begins in Budapest with Villeneuve returning to direct and co-write with Jon Spaights.
