Addicted to supernatural media and forbidden romance? Netflix has the show for you: First Kill.
The upcoming drama is a classic vampire-meets-vampire-hunter love story. Here’s the official synopsis from Netflix:
When it’s time for teenage vampire Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook) to make her first kill so she can take her place among a powerful vampire family, she sets her sights on a new girl in town named Calliope (Imani Lewis). But much to Juliette’s surprise, Calliope is a vampire hunter from a family of celebrated slayers. Both find that the other won’t be so easy to kill and, unfortunately, way too easy to fall for.
So yeah, it’s basically Buffy meets Killing Eve. [Insert Billy Eichner “Let’s go lesbians!” gif here.]
While we don’t have a trailer yet, Netflix did release some first-look images of the series today.
First Kill comes from creator, head writer, and executive producer Victoria “V.E.” Schwab. The series is based on Schwab’s short story of the same name. Emma Roberts, Karah Preiss, and Jet Wilkinson also executive produce the series. You can find the full list of confirmed cast members below.
