Coming May 11th to Disney+ is an EPIC reality adventure like no other with The Quest. The series is a reboot of a competition series from the 70s that involved both adults and teens. However, this time around, the series focuses solely on teens.

In this brand new, hybrid Fantasy Competition, the teens embark on a collaborative adventure to find the hero and save the Everealm. During this, they will come across real-life creatures, characters, and puzzles in order to move the story forward.

The Award-Winning teams behind the incredible new series are no strangers to Fantasy Adventures or reality competitions. Putting together this incredible series is Court Five, you know, the people who brought us The Lord of the Rings. As well as, New Media Collective who brings us The Amazing Race. And finally, Scout Productions, the team behind Queer Eye, bringing in the heart!

We had a chance to sit down with them and discuss The Quest on multiple levels. Why now? Why only teens? Collaborative? I really needed to know if we’re looking at CGI Monsters or Practical. Spoiler-Alert – PRACTICAL! Check out our interview below!

THE QUEST WONDERCON ROUNDTABLE

The Quest Synopsis: For thousands of years, Everealm has been a land of unrivaled beauty and powerful magic. Now, the realm is threatened by a powerful evil Sorceress. As a last hope, the noble Fates summon eight strangers known as Paladins from a world beyond to work together to fulfill an ancient prophecy and vanquish the Sorceress. The Paladins must unlock the hero within through a series of challenges that push their limits to restore balance to Everealm. If they fail, all will be lost. Heroes will rise. Kingdoms will fall.
