Chris Pratt has a vocal section of fans and also a vocal section of people who dislike him and his performances. Director James Gunn backed up the Star-Lord actor on Twitter earlier today after someone suggested replacing Pratt with Patrick Wilson.
The actor trends on Twitter routinely for his personal beliefs and religious affiliations; whether it’s from people making fun of the posts he makes about his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger or where he goes to church. James Gunn decided to put any and all speculation or hopes that Pratt would be replaced to bed.
The fact of the matter is, no matter what you think of Pratt, Guardians of the Galaxy is James Gunn’s baby at Marvel. He’s going to have a huge say in what Disney/Marvel does with the series. If they wanted to replace any of the Guardians, he’d have to be on board. He also went on in the same thread to debunk a bit about the beliefs of Pratt’s religious institution.
I have no clue about what goes on at Pratt’s church, but he has every right to worship or go to any church he pleases. Just as much as Disney/Marvel would have the right to replace him if that was problematic. So we’ll have to see if this quashes any controversy surrounding Pratt and his career. But we all know that as long as James Gunn does the Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt will be Star-Lord.
