Chucky, the TV series about everyone’s favorite killer doll, is starting production on season two. According to our friends at The Wrap, the show has plenty of returning characters from season one. Zackary Arthur, Björgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, Barbara Alyn Woods, and Jennifer Tilly are all back for the second season.
In addition, Brad Dourif, who’s been the voice of Chucky for 35 years, is also coming back to voice the character. Chucky was a rousing success with 11 million-plus viewers in its first season across various platforms. Franchise creator Don Mancini had this to say about the series:
We’re thrilled to start pulling the strings on the second season of puppet mayhem with Chucky. Many thanks to our partners at USA, Syfy and UCP for their incredible support and guidance bringing Chucky to the small screen, bigger than ever. And to the fans, Chucky sends his still-undying thanks, and a message: ‘This isn’t over, not by a long shot. You better watch your backs in 2022!’
The first season of Chucky continued storylines from the previous films in the series but also introduced new characters to the series. Here’s the synopsis for the first season:
After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.
Chucky season two airs on USA and SYFY this Fall.
