It’s been 30 years of Power Rangers, and the latest season celebrating those 30 years is coming soon. Our friends at The Illuminerdi have a report about the original Blue Ranger, David Yost, making his return to the series. He left the show in 1996, but now Billy Cranston is making at least one appearance on the series’s 30th anniversary season.
In their report, they expect that this season will be the final one for the original run of the show that’s been going since 1993. After this, Hasbro will probably shift focus to the reboot project helmed by Jonathan Entwistle. Season 30 will also include other appearances from Rangers throughout the season and not just in one episode or for a cameo. There isn’t any news on which original Rangers are returning at this time.
The normal season length for a Power Rangers series is 44 episodes, but this season will cut down on episode number and have longer episodes. So, we’re getting around the same amount of content with season 30. The episodes should clock in at around 44 minutes each, which is much longer than the standard 30-minute episodes we’re used to. The new season should debut on Netflix sometime in early 2023.
It should be exciting for fans to see David Yost make his grand return to Power Rangers, he hasn’t been involved with the series since his departure.
The 30th Anniversary season of Power Rangers is sure to be a huge extravaganza of action and emotions with old favorites returning alongside new members.
