Get ready to sing. Peacock’s comedy Girls5Eva returns next month… and it’s bringing a bunch of guest stars with it.
The series follows a one-hit-wonder girl group from the 90s. Girls5Eva was churned through the pop music machine, but now they’ve reunited to give their dreams another shot. This time they’ll try again on their own terms. Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell, and Busy Philipps star as the members of Girls5Eva.
In season 2, the girls will be joined by an “un4gettable” cast of guest stars, including:
- Amber Ruffin (The Amber Ruffin Show)
- Chad L. Coleman (The Wire, The Walking Dead)
- Drew and Jonathan Scott (Property Brothers)
- Grey Henson (Mean Girls the Musical, A Journal For Jordan)
- Heidi Gardner (Saturday Night Live)
- Hoda Kotb (TODAY, NBC News)
- James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin, Hamilton)
- John Lutz (30 Rock, Sisters)
- Judy Gold (Better Things, Search Party)
- Mario Cantone (And Just Like That, Sex and the City)
- Pat Battle (NBC New York)
- Piter Marek (The Blacklist, Ugly Betty)
- Tim Meadows (The Goldbergs, Mean Girls)
This group joins a pair of previously announced guest stars, Amy Sedaris and Neil Flynn. The duo will play Summer’s (Philipps) parents.
Girls5Eva comes from showrunner/executive producer Meredith Scardino. Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Jeff Richmond, David Miner, and Eric Gurian also executive produce.
Season 2 of Girls5Eva premieres May 5. You can stream season 1 on Peacock now.
