According to a new report from Rolling Stone, it appears Ezra Miller’s future in the DECU in doubt. Warner Bros. and DC executives held an emergency meeting back on March 30 to discuss the star’s recent arrest in Hawaii. Based on information from a knowledgeable source, the decision appears to have been made to pause any future projects involving Miller. The studio has plenty of time to make any future plans on a potential sequel to the upcoming The Flash. That film is not due to premiere until June 2023. Warner Bros. and DC have to be hoping for things to have calmed down for Miller by that point.

A CONCERNING TREND FOR MILLER

On March 28, the actor was arrested for disorderly conduct and harassment. According to the police report, Miller became angry after patrons at a Hawaii bar began singing karaoke. They shouted obscenities and grabbed the microphone from a woman as she was singing and allegedly lunged at a man playing darts. The following day, March 29, a local couple filed a temporary restraining order against Miller. Alleging that Miller burst into their bedroom and threatened them, The restraining order petition also alleges that Miller stole the woman’s passport and the man’s wallet. A local judge issued a temporary restraining order the following day.

These incidents in Hawaii seem to be a trend of concerning incidents for Miller as of late. In April 2020, cellphone footage began to make the rounds on social media, that showed the actor apparently choking a woman at an Iceland bar. No arrests were made in the incident.

But it also appears there are concerns with the actor’s behavior while on the set as well. According to an insider who spoke to Rolling Stone, Miller had “frequent meltdowns” during the production of The Flash. Given the recent PR headaches that Miller has generated it isn’t a shock to hear Warner Bros. and DC are taking time to review their future with the star.
