The acclaimed drama The Untouchables from Brian DePalma is making its way to 4K UHD for the first time. On May 31st, 2022, the film gets a brand new restoration from Paramount Home Entertainment. Originally released on June 3rd, 1987, the film stars Robert DeNiro, Kevin Costner, and Sean Connery. Here’s the synopsis for those who haven’t seen the film:
During the era of Prohibition in the United States, Federal Agent Eliot Ness sets out to stop ruthless Chicago gangster Al Capone and, because of rampant corruption, assembles a small, hand-picked team to help him.
Sean Connery won his only Oscar for his performance in the film, and it contains a Grammy-Award winning score from Ennio Morricone. DePalma directed the film with a script from David Mamet.
