Some unfortunate news today for fans of The Bad Batch. It looks like we might have a longer than anticipated wait to see the return of Clone Force 99. The animated series was originally expected to arrive sometime in Spring 2022. Now, this new information has not been officially confirmed by Lucasfilm or Disney. But it does seem like we are in store for a later debut date.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE BAD BATCH RELEASE

Until anything is officially released, these leaks should be taken with the appropriate grain of salt. The information we have arrives courtesy of a reported leak posted on Reddit and The Direct. The leak involves an upcoming issue of Star Wars Insider. Previous issues of the magazine had listed The Bad Batch Season 2 with a Spring 2022 date. However, in the latest yet to be released, issue #209 that Spring date has been replaced with “Coming Soon“.

With the May 25th premiere date for Obi-Wan Kenobi, it’s not a shock to see The Bad Batch moved to a new date. Disney has always avoided having multiple Star Wars or Marvel series running at the same time. With a full slate of content to debut in 2022, Disney appears to be sticking to the approach of 1 series at a time. With Andor expected later this year as well, we could still see The Bad Batch slot into a late Summer or early Fall window.
