Teen Wolf the supernatural teen drama is returning 5 years later with a movie! The series was originally developed by Jeff Davis for MTV and was a launching pad for the careers of the stars Tyler Posey (Alone) and Dylan O’Brien (Maze Runner). The show went on for 6 seasons and came to an end in September of 2017.

The announcement of the Teen Wolf movie has excited fans all over the world. Then, the film hit a snag with the announcement of the returning cast missing some key players. Without the likes of Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin (Superman and Lois), and Arden Cho (Chicago Med)  they will need to add some new blood for the film. Our source has provided casting information for the handful of leads joining in for the wolfy good time.

According to our sources, at this point, there are 5 new characters joining the film. Billed as a lead in the film we have Hikari. Hikari is a Japanese woman in her early 20s. She’s a faithful and mysterious Kitsune who is both alluring in her beauty and grace. If you’re unfamiliar, Kitsune are a supernatural species of Japanese fox spirits who have been around for centuries. According to Teen Wolf lore, the Kitsune are bound by specific yet subtle metaphysical rules. While they are known as tricksters, these rules restrict their everyday life, as well as their status and talents.

Next, we have Eli, a handsome and impulsive young werewolf who has a lot to prove to himself and others. Eli is billed as a Lead in the film. Casting is looking for a while male who is 18+ to play 15.

Also joining the cast is Eva, a super-smart, type-A woman who is a former gym manager and exercise instructor. She is a natural-born leader who enjoys making sure all things are in order and that everyone else is happy. Eva sees the good in everyone and is very trusting – which tends to cause her more trouble than good. Casting is looking for a woman of any ethnicity to play late 20s. Eva is also billed as a Supporting Lead.

Joining these fantastic new leads is also a couple of interesting supporting characters. First, Alicia. Alicia is trapped in a precarious place but keeps calm under pressure. Casting is looking for an Atlanta Local Hire to portray a 9-year-old girl of any ethnicity.

Next, we have Lieutenant Ibarra who is a seasoned firefighter helping to control a very tense situation. Casting is also looking for an Atlanta Local hire to portray a Latinx male between 30 and 40.

A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it, a terrifying evil has emerged. The wolves are howling once again, calling for the return of Banshees, Werecoyotes, Hellhounds, Kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf-like Scott McCall, no longer a teenager yet still an Alpha, can gather both new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.

The Teen Wolf movie begins filming in March of 2022, splitting time between Los Angeles and Atlanta. The film is being written by Jeff Davis, Directed by Russell Mulcahy, and produced by Joe Genier. There is no official release date for the film just yet so stay tuned to THS for any new updates!
