The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder debuts on February 23rd on Disney+! As we know, this reboot of the original Disney’s The Proud Family reunites us with Penny and her family. However, Disney has announced the star-studded guest stars also appearing in the reboot.
Proud Apparences
As if the debut of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is not enough, some of our favorite stars will be making appearances in the reboot! Joining in the fun we have Grammy Award-Winning musician Lizzo, as herself. Oscar invites her to perform at his new theme park, SnackLand. Also appearing as themselves will be Al Roker from Good Morning America, and Lamorne Morris (New Girl). Roker will play a wish-granting Genie, while Morris is a headliner in a musical.
In addition to those three, we will also have Brenda Song (Dollface), Jaden Smith (After Earth), and Lena Waithe (Queen and Slim). Smith and Waithe are playing College versions of Myron and Maya. Meanwhile, Song will voice Vanessa Vue, a local news TV reporter that covers most of Oscar’s embarrassing shenanigans.
Family Fun
On top of all these fun additions to the upcoming The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, we are picking up once again with Penny and her family. We’ve got her parents Oscar and Trudy, as well as her siblings BeBe and CeCe. Judging by Vanessa’s coverage, we can assume Oscar will once again be up to his crazy shenanigans embarrassing Penny and not wanting her to grow up. Helping on some of his crazy antics is Suga Mama and her trusty pooch Puffy.
However, it wouldn’t be The Proud Family without Penny’s faithful group of friends consisting of her best friend Dijonay Jones, La Cienega Boulavardez, and Zoey Howzer. Here to hoping Sticky comes out to play too. For me, the gang isn’t complete without Sticky.
To prepare for the upcoming reboot, you can watch the original The Proud Family on Disney+ now. Then on February 23rd watch what new adventures the Proud family gets into exclusively on Disney+. And, for the latest movie or tv news don’t forget to check on That Hashtag Show.
