“Women like us fall into two categories: dragons and fools,” cautions the Dowager Countess in the clip. “Make sure they think of you as a dragon.”
The trailer sets up the premise that Dame Maggie Smith’s character has inherited a French villa under somewhat mysterious circumstances. As the house tries to unravel the past, they’re being spurred into the future: a movie has chosen Downton as its filming location. The clip hints at the drama of everything to come, as both familiar and new characters blend together into a new story.
Downton Abbey: A New Era will bring back the principal cast from the series you love, along with some new additions. New cast members include Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, and Dominic West.
