Today the full list of nominees for the 94th Academy Awards was released. The Benedict Cumberbatch-led western, The Power of the Dog, was the most nominated film earning 12 nods including Best Picture. Coming in second place for total nominations was the sci-fi epic, Dune, which earned 10 nominations. First-time nominees include Beyoncé and Billie Eilish, who will be competing to take home Best Original Song.

This year’s Academy Awards are set for Sunday, March, 27th.

Overall, there doesn’t appear to be any major snubs like in years past. However, Marvel fans had hoped to see Spider-Man: No Way Home earn an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, but was left with only 1 nod for Visual Effects. The MCU blockbuster did engage in a strong campaign to win over the Academy, but like many comic book films, was unable to do so. Many expect The Power of the Dog to claim many of the major categories. With its 12 Oscar nominations, it certainly appears it’s well-positioned to bring home quite a bit of hardware this year.
