It seems like the Goosebumps resurgence is growing with each passing month. R.L. Stine‘s classic horror series is getting another TV series at Disney+. According to Variety, Disney+ gave the green light for a ten-episode season of Goosebumps. Here’s the plot synopsis for the upcoming series:
The series follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces upon their town and must all work together – thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries, and pasts with each other – in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.
Rob Letterman is on board to direct the first episode of the new series. He directed the 2015 Goosebumps movie that starred Jack Black. Letterman will also write and Executive Produce the series. Nick Stoller is also on board as a writer and Executive Producer.
The original Goosebumps series was where many ’90s kids growing up learned about horror for the first time. That series ran from 1995 to 1998 for four seasons.
There are no other details on the series like a release date or casting, but we’ll keep you updated on this story as it develops.
