Star Wars 1313 was a canceled project from LucasArts that would have followed Boba Fett in the Level 1313 part of Coruscant. The game was canceled after LucasArts was closed down. Star Wars 1313 would have been released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The new footage shows off Boba Fett and the gameplay engine in action. A good portion of the game was programmed but not properly rendered as you can see in the footage.
The game was shown off at E3 2012 but never got much farther past the development stage. From the looks of it, it’s a combination of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter and other open-world games of the time. Even if it was canceled, the assets and story could be put to use for another game in the future. For now, all we have are some of the stories from the developers, small clips like this, and the E3 showing.
This could have been a truly awesome game, one that Star Wars fans have been clamoring for since Bounty Hunter. The time period is also one that’s incredibly fruitful and interesting. It was supposed to be set between the Prequel Trilogy and the Original Trilogy. So we’d get to see more about the origins and early career of the bounty hunter Boba Fett. At least we have the three new Star Wars games that EA and Respawn Entertainment are working on.
So, do you think you’d want to play Star Wars 1313?
