James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad recently revealed an expanded universe with the premiere of Peacemaker. But DC fans may have even more to look forward to from Gunn in the future.

Speaking to Deadline, Gunn revealed another The Suicide Squad spinoff series is already in the works.

“We’re working on something else now, another TV show that’s connected to that universe,” Gunn teased. “I can’t quite say.”

He also believes John Cena’s Peacemaker spinoff will continue for a second season. The first season recently aired its fifth episode, and the series has premiered to generally positive reviews. When asked if Peacemaker will get a season 2, Gunn said “there’s a really good chance of that.”

Reportedly, Gunn approached HBO Max with the idea for another series about one of the characters in The Suicide Squad. Currently, it’s just an idea in talks – nothing written, nothing officially greenlit by HBO Max. But given the success of The Suicide Squad and now Peacemaker for the platform, the possibility of another series seems like tantalizing bait for the streamer.

When prodded for more information about the potential spinoff, Gunn said, “I can’t say anything. It is connected to this universe, and I don’t think it will be the same genre as Peacemaker; it won’t be as much a  comedy as Peacemaker, but it will be in the same universe.”

So, which member of Gunn’s Suicide Squad would you want to see get their own series? Let us know in the comments below.
